Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what size voice coil the Jbl d130f has. Someone is selling some and I'm considering purchasing one. His are four inch voice coils. Also, is there a way to see if speaker cones are original?
Thanks |

The D-130F has a four inch voice coil as well, as does the M,K,and E series 15" speakers. I believe JBL has a number code on the original cones, thugh I'm not sure hoe it's deciphered. |

The difference in the D,E,K series JBL's is in the gap that the voice coil rides in, and the magnet structure. Of course you will get more range, or definition, in a closer gap, but then again, you will have a lower watt rated speaker. The high wattage speaker(E series) need more room to move for speaker excursion. |
