I am thinking of selling my Session 500. Does anyone know what is the best, and cheapest way to ship it? Also, does anyone know how much this amp weights?

My Session 500 weighs 85 pounds. This is over the weight limit for some shipping methods. One option is to remove the speaker and ship both pieces separately by one of the standard carriers - generally a bit more expensive, but my preference to shipping something this heavy. If I ever sell mine, I will probably just sell it to someone within driving distance or who I can meet halfway. I think these are hard to ship safely.

"Best" and "cheapest" shipping methods are not necessarily the same. I like Fedex Ground - I generally find it reasonably priced and reliable, but not necessarily the fastest. This choice depends on what your priorities are, and carrier terms change periodically. I have used Fedex, UPS, and USPS at different times. I haven't had major issues yet, but I generally pack a guitar or amp to the point where I believe it can be dropped 6-8 feet onto a concrete floor without damage. That is the rub with shipping an amp this heavy - that much weight makes it really hard to pack it that securely. Aside from the weight estimate, however, these are my opinions, not "facts".
