Gary....this has been discussed before....if you do a search in this category for "Fender Steel King settings" you should come up with several posts....might also want to try the Pedal Steel category also.

I think talking about the Steel king over and over.It's about the finest thing out there for sound.
If you have lost the tone,go back to how it came out the box.Almost straight up.
You'll find it there.Now isn't that better
than searching in the files?

Gary, try this. It works for me. I'm playing a '76 Emmons, which has a fairly bright tone to begin with, so I cut the highs a bit. Your milage may vary.

FENDER STEEL KING

Gain Button: OUT

GAIN: more than 10:00
EQ TILT: 11:00
TREBLE: 11:00
MID LEVEL: 2:00
MID FREQ: 2:00
BASS: 1:00
REVERB: 9:00 to 10:00
MASTER: 12:00

Limiter button: IN
