Anybody know if you need a special bar
with the BOBRO? ie: the plastic bar you used to need for that "other" dobro simulator? Thanks.

I Just got mine last week, and I used it some this past weekend on a few songs, I don,t think i,m going to need any bar but the one I,ve always used. It takes a little getting used to but I love it.
Regards Neil.

Boobe emailed me to say my BoBro is on it's way, so we'll see how she sounds.

Got my BoBro today plus some goodies. That is so cool to actually get more than you expect. That Bobbe knows how to market!

Now back to the BoBro. It is an awesome addition to my sound. It has a pure dobro sound that worked in every song that I played. I sat down with every CD from the Eagles to Alan J. and George Jones to Martina's CD of older tunes. It was absolutly great. I feel like now I should get twice the pay in our band because I can literally play two different instruments with the simple touch of the stomp box.

I didn't need to change one thing nor did I need a different steel.

This is one satisfied customer.

Thanks Bobbe for the great product and giving me Christmas in July with the extra goodies.

Ken

I meant to say I didn't need a different bar. It is as easy as pushing your foot down.

So, do you just let go and play like you normally do with this gizmo or do ya really have to "think dobro". I mean if you did your normal steel licks it might sound like a hot dobro but on the other hand that's not what a dobro usually does. I'd guess you'd want to use it convincingly and make the sounds (style)people would expect to hear from one.

I am certainly not a proffesional dobro player but I am able to get by and make the BoBro a useful part of my playing. I guess I would say I use a little bit of both, meaning I use the pedals some but probably more slides than I normally would. I only have about two hours on it so I obviously haven't changed my style of playing.

What I did find is that I can lay down a few measures with the BoBro, stomp the box and then let go with the steel. The sound is so much different so that it really sounds like two different instruments playing. What I was most impressed with is that it does sound like a dobro.

Hope that helps.
