Hello,
I think after three years I am tiring of the sound of the Lexicon reverb, I notice that I keep setting the mix lower and lower...currently around 20%. I have been using an RV-5 and the Holy Grail set to spring for guitar, would like to take out the lexicon unit and replace it with some kind of spring reverb type unit. I seem to recall there was a chrome face plated peavey unit, Valveverb? and a Chandler or Real Tube unit called something like Blue Tube reverb...but don't see many players posting about using these units for reverb. Any thoughts from my Forum friends?
Many thanks for your input. |

I use a Tube Works spring reverb in my rack unit. Peavey also made a fancy chromed spring unit at one time but these REALLY bring big money on e-bay. The tube works unit is stereo and the Peavey unit is mono.
I like my Tube Works unit a lot. |

Gerald, Peavey's Valverb is a great sounding mono unit.
I have the RT921 Tubeworks unit like Erv. It is also a great sounding unit and is stereo with eq for ea. side.
I have an eBay watch for the RT921 unit and just received a notice a few days ago. These used to go for a couple hundred bucks used, and worth it. I thought I'd like to pick up a spare, but at the going rate, maybe not. It seems that they have become more valuable as of late.
If you can find either one at a reasonable price, I believe you will be happy with it.
Best of Luck. JO.

I've used a Demeter in the studio before.

Furman used to make one. Also there was one called Master Room. Very good soundking as I recall. These were around back in the late '70's |
