I have a Peavey DPC 750 that has started to make a lot of white noise when you start it up, this lasts for 2-3 mins. then its fine, I am sure it is the amp as the unit makes the same noise with no effects or guitar connected. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

Alan, how long since it was last serviced ?? I had a problem with my power supply but once I had that fixed it was quiet as a mouse -- apart from the fan noise of course....I've had it since new, about 10 or 11 years. It probably just needs to go into the shop for a checkup.
Mine has been a very reliable amp.

Thanks Paddy I think I have fixed it, the rack plate at the back was pressing on the power supply, I moved the back plate up a notch and the noise has gone.
