There was some discussion a while ago back about this amp. I order the amp head model from Musician's Friend (free freight). I received it and have had a chance to try it out. I think it's a great little 5 watt amp, plenty of power and tone to the bone. I have a Fulawka lap steel hooked up to it via a Boss RV-3 and from the Junior I go to a recently acquired Peavey speaker cabinet with a 12" Black Widow in it. The amp has a great sound and NO hum whatsoever. The best $99 purchase I've made in quite a while. ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/biggrin.gif) |

Thanks Erv, I had asked anyone getting one to come back and post a review, I appreciate you doing so even if it wasnt specifically at my request..hehe. I have the combo and wil probably pick up the head too now that I hear its nice and quiet. Cheers. |

Ben,
Yes, the hum problem was my chief concern also. What I like about the amp head is that there are three seperate output jacks going to the speaker: 4 ohm, 8 ohm and 16 ohm. Just plug in what you've got.
BTW: It sure looks cute sitting on the Peavey speaker enclosure. ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/biggrin.gif) |

They have solved the hum problem, it would appear. Most of the newer ones have been very good, a speaker upgrade wouldn't hurt though. |
