Gary, do you have the "Keely Mod" on yours? The samples I heard sounded a lot better with that mod. But then that was on the Keely website too. Used moderatly that's what I'd want in a drive pedal. |

I use a Tubeworks tubedriver, I think it sounds much better than the Boss pedal. It also has a built in power supply, no wall-wart.

How are your boxes compared to TubeFex? I have a TF but can't make it overdrive right for both single string and chords. If it's well adjusted for single string then it tends to be too much for chords, so now I think of getting an extra box to do that work.

Kenny, You are talking about the lady you married!!!!!!! Kenny some of these guys say some of the other units are quite a bit sweeter than these Boss units. I hope several people will comment on this. Gary. |

Gary:the Boss bues Driver is my favorite distortion unit,I have used it on my Strat forever and prefer it over other units that I have owned like the Ibanez tube screamers and a few others.I just started using it on my steel and feel the same way about it.The Blues driver seems to grow harmoncaly with the volume of the instrument,The tube screamer seems to have the same sound at different sound levels. |

Gary,
I've tried several pedals and I like the Boss Blues Driver best of all. I add a Yamaha compressor after it and it screams like a witch. I like this set up even better then higher priced items like tonebone for distortion. |

I stand corrected, I tried a Tonebone "Classic" to day and loved it, much better sound then there "British" to my ears anyway. The Boss Blues driver is now for sale. |
