What is the difference between a "Spider Bridge" and a "Biscuit Bridge", dobro. I recently purchased a 1972 Dobro and want to replace the cone with a "Quarterman Cone" and not sure what to purchase. Also, does anyone know the right diameter cone.

The Dobro®-type spider bridge rests on the edge of a 10 1/2" cone, with the cone opening toward the top of the guitar.

The National-type biscuit bridge sits on the peak of a 10 1/2" or 9 1/2" cone, with the cone opening toward the back of the guitar.

Dennis if what you have is a spider bridge Dobro give Paul Beard at Resophonic Outfitters a call 301-733-9271. What you probably want is a Quarterman QC-1 which is what most of the big names in reso building use as standard.
