I had Ken do the battery-less mod on my tubefex at the Dallas show. Aside from the benefits of this, he showed me how to tweak the tubefex input and output knobs so that it operated at full efficiency without the hiss and noise. He also showed me how to utilize both output jacks on the back of the tubefex by going from both right and left outputs into both the high and low gain inputs on the front of my Nashville 400. I got home and tried this last night and it really works great. I am now taking full advantage of the stereo features of the tubefex.
Thanks Ken!!

Glad I could help out. The Dallas Show was a real workout. I have doing close to 400 battery-less mods in the last year. I thought there might be a few left. Well, I had about 20 to do at the show, per emails received. I brought a little over 40 chips and ran out! What a surprice that was. If not for Ruth, my new bride, I would have been in a mess! She kept track of who needed what done, provided receipts and took orders for chips to be mailed direct and much more!
We are now considering the St Louis Show for those that could not make Dallas. Maybe there's one or two still left out there to convert! |
