Has anyone ever tried using separate units like, RV3/DD3, RV3/DD5,RV3/DD6,RV5/DD3,RV5/DD5,or RV5/DD6 in these combinations for more control on the delay, and reverb instead of a RV3,RV5,or a DD6 by theirself?
I have three DD3'S,one DD5,3RV3's,and one RV5.I haven't experimented any combinations yet,but would like some feedback from anyone that has.I usually use a RV3 by itself with the delay, and reverb combined.

Kenny, you have tooo many numbers here. Get you a new Peavey (Dual delta Fex.) It brand new out only a short time. It has 5 actual steel guitar settings.

I use a DD-3 for delay with a Holy Grail for reverb. They work perfectly together.

Ditto on the Holy Grail reverb. The name describes it.

My small pedalboard has a DD5 (with a tap switch) and an RV 5--my bigger one uses a Line 6 Delay Modeler and an RV5. Much more control than an RV3.

I use a DD-3 with a Nashville 400.
I do NOT use the reverb on the amp at all.

Just a small amount of tweaking the knobs on the DD-3 will give you any thing you want.

Play with it(DD-3). I think you will be pleasently suprised !!

I had RV5+DD3+NF1+ Korg tuner...
too many controls, too many cables and transfos, too much noise...
Now I use à Korg PX4. "all in one", easy, light, small (fixed with the mp3 player at the rear right leg) and I'm satisfied...

Patrick,

How do you connect to your amp, using the PX-4? I pick up a lot of noise going direct. I really like the PX-4 through headphones and for quiet practice.

Hi Steve
I connect the P4/Headphones output to the amp/high gain input. Probably you have to adjust output level at the PX4 and input level at amp. The result is the same on my 112 as on my Fender 25SE. When I play with the amp I don't use the amp reverb and, on the P4, I use neutral settings with only spring reverb and 3 delay with a little touch of dynamic + noise gate if necessary. This unit is very good and versatile for practice when I play it directly into the computer or mixer and add mp3 back tracks...

If you already own (2)-RV–3's, why spend more money on still another unit? Just use one RV-3 for Delay and feed it into the 2nd. unit for your Reverb and continue to enjoy playing and saving money! Oh, BTW; maybe you could even find buyers for all those extra units here on the Forum!

If you've got the cash, you'll love the Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler. Get the $20 power adapter, it'll eat a set of C batteries in about 8 hours of gigging.

I mounted my Holy Grail to a leg. Works great, easy to adjust on the fly, sounds awesome.

John Betchel, I like to use one of the RV-3's for guitar. That's why I have more than one, and none is for sale.
I will try the RV-5 with the DD-3,and see what I can come up with.
Anyone else tried any of the mentioned combos?
I've had my eye on one of the Line 6 DL-4 units for awhile too. It was recomended to me by Roger Fortner, former lead guitarist with the Inspirations Quartet to get one of these units. He highly recommended it.
