Hi Guys

I have a Peavey Session 400 LTD Amp which has a Pre-Amp out socket on the back.

I thought this was so I could connect it to my mixer so I could record with it,I have plugged a jack lead into it and connected it to the mixer, but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Alan

That is an output and you should be able to use that with a mixing board or another amp. Check the cord you are using to make sure it's good.

The manuals for the Session 400 (various models) are available as a free download at the Peavey web site. www.peavey.com

Hi Jack

Thanks for the link,I have downloaded the manual, which is totally different to the Amp I have.
There is no mention of a Pre-Amp Out socket, and mine dosen't have a switch on the back.

I will try it again, the cord I used is good,I use it for other things as well.

There are, I believe, four different Session 400 manuals on the Peavey web site. You will have to try them all, until you find the correct one. The last one on the list is for the last model 400 LTD built and does show the Preamp Out.

Hi Jack

Thank you for the info,I now have the correct manual.

Seems I was connecting it up wrong,I need to use the balanced connection.

Thanks again

Regards

Well I connected up the Session 400 using a Balanced Mic lead and it worked.

Only trouble is,connecting this way dosen't cut the sound from the speaker,so back to the drawing board.
