My friend David Cook just took delivery on his 7-string melobro resonator guitar and I had the opportunity to play it last night.
Very nice, strong tone. Surprising warm for a fiberglass (that may not be an accurate description of the material) guitar. Nice, wide string spacing.
BTW, David has it tuned to G6: 7-GBDEGBD-1
It has eight tuning machines and 8 holes in the tailpiece, so all it would take to make it 8-string is a bridge saddle and nut.
Good job Ted! |

I'd have to agree. I've been playing the fire out of my new 6 string Melobro now for about 8 months. Very nice tone, loud as all get-out, and almost never needs tuning.
Can't wait for my new "Electro-Bro" to get finished (hint, hint).
Ted's got another winner here! |
