On my Tone King--tripped over guitar cord and bent input jack real good. I'm inside the chassis now and the jack--the only input jack there is--is a three pole normally closed switching jack. But it is bent so bad that I can't tell if it was actually hooked up to be NC, with no plug in it, waiting for a plug to break the contact.
I can't for the life of me figure why the sole jack (there is no override of another jack involved) would be a switching jack like this. I want to bend it back into contact but I'm worried that it might turn out that the amp maker (Mark Bartel) just used this because it was lying around (not likely but....). It does have three lead wired to it.
I'm waiting for him to get back to me but I'd really like to fix this and close it up. Any thoughts?

The switch contact applies ground to the tip when no guitar is plugged in! That keeps the amp from picking up noise on the input.
I emailed a typical input jack arrangement for your review!

That was fast, Ken. And simple. Great. Now I can get this sucker closed up and play it. I just put a pair of Calis in it and I'm starting to really dig it. Thanks!!
