For the last couple of months i've been using a POD XT on stage. I've finally got a couple of settings that i'm comfortable with.
I go from the POD XT ..direct to the board and use my Nashville 1000 as a stage monitor. (I go into the back of the 1000 bypassing th pre amp).
The next thing i'd like to try is a good pair of ear monitors.. I'd like a mixer with one line in from the board and another one from the POD XT.
My question is: Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced ear monitor and mixer that
I can use?
Thanks in advance,
BobG

Bob, there's lots of choices in both categories. I've had good luck with the Shure in ear monitors. Just be aware that there is a big difference between the inexpensive "ears" and the expensive "ears". The Shure E5s run $400-500, but sound MUCH better than the Shure E1s which are $100+ (without the custom mold). E5s are a dual driver, E1 is just a single.

Just found this link, this is a drummer, but his setup looks good. http://www.drumdojo.com/reviews/iem.htm

A little line mixer is probably all you need, like the Rolls model in the link. If you are using a rack, you can get a little rack mixer. With whatever mixer you use, you probably want to make sure it has a headphone output, and use that with your "ears". Units that allow you to pan the different channels (like the Rolls) may also benefit. That way you can pan your guitar to one side, and the house feed to the other side.
