I want to experiment with swapping pickups on my Super Pro. It's not that I am unhappy with the stock p/u's, just thinking about it... and it would give me a chance to send out the stock p/u's for rewinding.

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas and could describe what certain pickups would give me in terms of tones.

Also not sure which models I would need to look at, wide mount or whatever...

Lastly if anyone has had theirs rewound, maybe describe your experience - who'd you use, what was the benefit, etc...

Looking forward to your advice, and thanks in advance!

Mike

Two options. Either Bill Lawrence 710's, or Wallace Truetone re-winds on the single coils. Just my opinion. Others will differ.

I like Lawrence 712 on my Sho-Bud, but you will need a small size pickup to fit in the Sho-Bud.

When I had a SuperPro I used both stock, BL710 and TruTone pickups. I liked the TruTone for its singlecoil-sound and the BL710 for highpower and "modern" no-noisy sound (great for studio-work).
