Does anyone haved the specs on the BW 1501-4 speaker? I'm looking at Weber speakers and was trying to find one of theirs that can be used to replace the 1501-4. Not sure what the BW is rated at and not sure if Weber makes one that will take all the power of todays steel amp.

Gaylon--Weber does not make any speakers in the power range you are talking about. The highest power rated speaker is their high power series Michigan speaker, rated at 100 watts. I'd say that their main target is the tube amp market which is based on models that rarely exceed 100W and often divides the power via multi speaker cabs. |

Ted Weber mentioned last year that he would like to work on a pedal steel speaker....but as of a couple of months ago, has yet to start on such a task. He does not currently build a speaker to the specs necessary for pedal steel guitar applications.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I thought. Ted is currently working on a new amp that will be along the lines of an old Standel. We'll see what happens with that.
