When going from the Tubefex or TTF into the recording board do you use the regular outs or the direct outs? What is the difference?
Thanks

I used the XLR outputs on my TTFex. I also set the speaker emulator switch on 2 12" speakers. That gave it a "compensated" output. That is what those outputs are designed for - running to a board.

I don't remember if the TubeFex has that switch on it, if not there is probably a program option for the speaker emulator.

Also the XLR are balanced outputs, so no ground loop hum potential.
