Mike..
I'm having a problem setting the PA for the anti-Feedback Ferret.
I hook everything up.Mics etc. turn it on..and hit the "setup" button...blue light flashes..I raise the master volume level..to exceed our normal operating levels...the blue light stops flashing.. we "should" be ready to go. However,, I still get a high frequence "squeel"..slightly muffled..but its there..what am I doing wrong? any ideas?
I never had a problem with this till lately..we've been using this for almost 2 years now..and never had this before. I do notice that for some reason Channel No. 1 requires more gain than the others.. and I don't know why..either. That level setting is about twice the others. and actually is higher than the position of the Master Gain..comparing both setting on their respective knob positions. Thanks for any suggestions..

If the input signal in channel one has decreased for some reason, check channel two with the same source and let me know if it works normally for that source. Also, ensure that the pad button is in the correct position for the signal source. I suspect this as the culprit if you have to turn the level up to twice the amount.

Call me with the XR696F in front of you with a live mic and we will both check it out. 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.

Well Mike..I used it again. Good news/bad news. The squeel is still there during setup. I found a couple of the high's and cut them right off (down). The light stops blinking, but the head is not completely quiet. It sounds like it wants to break any minute. The switching of the mics..helps somewhat,,but didn't really clearup the problem. It is better especially with those 2 channel shut down. The EQ is different, but its better than having the feedback squeel..
