Topic: Better Spring for Sho-Bud Volume Pedal? |

| Is there a stronger spring I can get somewhere? My Sho-Bud pedal likes to fall down into full volume when I am not at the steel. Since I play guitar in the band too, its bad when it does this. I have a box to turn it off, but I wonder if I could find a nice strong spring to fix it up. Any ideas? |

I just tighten the two pivot bolts and nuts really good and that usually takes care of it.

| Take out your old spring and cut a little off and try that. If that does not work, your local hardware store will be a good source of springs. Just find a tougher one and your good to go. I like pedals to stay where you put them, but not tight enough to shut off if I take my foot away. I like the pivot screws fairly loose. Hope this helps. |

I use a shobud pedal with a strong rubber
band around the heel end. This is the cheapest way to solve the problem.If you can get the thick elastic straps off an old sunchair..they work fine.Otherwise use an old inner tube.it works just like a spring.

| Thank you all. I did try to tighten the screws but it did no good. I will look for a heavier spring or try the rubber band method and see where that gets me. As always, thanks for the help. I think I can get it fixed from what I've been given. |
