I see original JBL D130's selling anywhere from 150.00-250.00...depending on the seller and the condition of the speaker......

That would have to be a D130F not just a D130. Difference in these for musical instrument applications. Plenty of info on the net about JBL D series. |

Vintage JBL D130's 16 ohm, not reconed, mint condition are $450 to $600. That is the vintage sound we heard in the early Standels and Fenders.
Reconed price, check eBay. GD Walker sells some great JBL 15 recones that get the job done.
IMHO the difference in sound quality has to be heard in a studio environment. I am the keeper of a pair of both of these fine speakers. The vintage ones stay home. The recones play out.
