I remembered a post where the user was having problems with the volume pedal not returning to the "zero" position. Mine has recently started resting at ~50% volume. Was there a quick fix, or does it need to go in for service. Seems like a little screw needed tightening somewhere. Can someone help jog my memory? Please post twice so I can remember.  |

| Tim, thanks for using our volume pedal, let me try and help you. I am not clear as to what is happening. When you say, "Not returning to the zero position", what do you mean? The pedal is supposed to stay in the same position it is in when your foot is removed. It is not supposed to spring back to the zero position. There are only two moving parts, a piece of plastic and a spring. If the nut holding the plastic is too tight the pedal will fall forward, making more volume, when you remove your foot. Solution for this problem is to loosen the nut holding the plastic piece the spring is attached to. If you take your foot off of the pedal in the off position, and the pedal comes forward slightly, the following is the solution; Remove the hinge bolts. Wipe all grease off the plastic piece, and off where the plastic piece rubs. The plastic piece is oil impregnated and does not need any grease. Take the brass hinge bushing out and see if there are any little "O" rings on the brass bushings. We put the "O" rings on the brass bushings to take up space between the brass bushing and where it moves against the bottom part of the pedal, where the hinge bolt screws in. Depending on the casting, and if there is any slack space, we sometimes put one, two or no "O" ring. If you can get the pedal together with one, or two "O" rings, it will take up any slack. You can get these little "O" rings at any hardware store, or any automobile parts store, or I will mail you some. Once you get all the slack taken out of the brass bushings, tighten the hinge bolts secure and the pedal will stay in place. If you can't get the pedal fixed, send it in to the factory and we will fix it for you. There will be no charge, but include $12.00 return shipping. Hope this information helps.
