Does anyone knows who invented the volume pedal and in what year? A friend of mine told me that it was invented by a Dutch guy by the name of Marcos Jongenele and sold his patent to Fender.

I can't say for sure, but I think the volume pedal was around before the Fender company existed. The first pedal I saw was a gear driven pedal made by "De Armand". I also saw a "Bigsby" around the same time.
