I am getting a little hummmm in my Evans SE200 amp. with a Peavey tubefex,Korg DTR1000 tuner, can't seem to get it out. Anyone else have this problem ? Any suggestions. Sierra S-10 Hilton pedal. Thanks to all... Ron

It's probably a "ground loop" hum and most likely caused by the Korg Tuner.
Isolate the Korg from the Mounting rails in the rack and that will probably do it. |

Thanks Jack, I'll try it and see if that will do it. Ron

FWIW. Furman has some new solutions to the ground loop problem. Many of the rack rider units have "LIFT" technology.
These things work. I run two 100 watt tube amps, and an efx-processor. Hum is gone. No grounds lifted.
hope this helps

I think Jack hit the nail on the head. I have two Korg tuners which I isolated by using a 3-prong to 2-prong AC adapter. Also try moving the interconnecting cables and listen for changes in the hum level. |

The Tubefex is also grounded and will cause hum, as it is grounded via the signal cable to the amp and to earth via the 3-prong plug. Use a Hum-X by Ebtech to safely eliminate the hum while keeping the Tubefex properly grounded. |
