Does anyone use this type of unit, something like the Art Studio MP etc in the Direct line into the P/A to stop the whining of the sound guys about the volume peaks or to improve the tone in the P.A.?
Any help appreciated.

We use an ART Tube MP for acoustic guitar in our church praise band. It works well for that, but I haven't played steel through one. For steel, I use a Digitech 2112 tube preamp/effects processer and a Countryman DI box. I monitor through an AVIOM mixer system with Shure wireless in-ears. I haven't used an amp at church in several years.

Thanks Darvin, do you get any extra noise from it? I'm particularly interesed in the one with the limiter, does it work?
