Any comments on the unit would be appreciated. I hate reading instructions. Can someone give me a quick lesson in setting a GP 100 up with a couple of great setting for a clean tone with some nice delay and sparce reverb? If I can get a start maybe I will be encouraged to read the manual. I have no way of knowing if I like the unit or not because I have not gotten to first base. I have no problems at all with the Profex II.

Jerry, Gp100 is a great unit. You can edit up to 200 programmable settings and there are 200 preset setting. I do not have mine here to give you exact settings today but you go to presets 200-400, pick out a preset like "clean twin" then change the parameters (2nd knob from the right) for any pre amp, speaker model, delay, eq, reverb or any changes you like. After you make the changes, you push "write" button to save it to a location in the first 200 setting positions. It is very simple and works greats once you get the hang of it. You can great tone out of this unit..

You can email me if I can help. Once I figured out how to get it dialed in, I never found anything I have liked better. I have been using it about 8 or 9 years I guess..

Hi Jerry,

The GP100 is a very nice unit as those above have mentioned. I generally start with one of the twin reverb patches as a starting point. I have played Music Man amps for years so that is a close place to begin. To start find one of the patches you sorta like and copy it to a patch number of one you don't. Change to the copied patch number and start with adjusting the eq knobs unit you are satisfied. At that point the buttons on the front panel allow you change detailed parameters. Mostly to change detail parameters one uses the two knobs on the right of the front panel. Hopefully that will get you started. I have read the manual (a wonderful jap-english version) but once you start playing with your unit you will seldom need the manual. When you are done changing a patch or want to switch to another one remember to write the patch into memory or else you will get to do it all again. Don't ask how I know!!! Smile
