In an old Steel Guitarist mag issue (1981?), there's a picture of Paul Franklin playing just the top of an old 10-string Sho-Bud on the tour bus. In the article he said he used it for practicing right/left hand technique while on board. Maybe this should be called a "bus steel" instead of a "lap steel". |

I was at Elderlys just this past tue. and seen this guitar. It didn't look bad for a homemade job. I wasn't interested in 10 strings, but if would've had 8 I would have snatched it up myself. |

There was a guitar on e-bay not too long ago that looked an awful lot like this one, except it had four legs like a pedal steel. |
