I've read that George L's cables are an imitation of Bill Lawrences cables introduced 20 years ago, and that George L was a distributor of the Bill L's?

Bill Lawrence and George Lewis were once partners in the company. The "L and L Sales" was actually Lawrence and Lewis.

I won't get into whether the cable is an "imiitation", that depends on who you talk to.

Ever see one of those old cords that used to come with new Fender guitars?

I was using the skinny (low-c/low-z) cables long before either of these guys started sellin' it. (Like 1973!)

I have been through this many times with Mr. Lawrence. And the very best way to get the answer is to call toll free -1-877-647-2651 I believe if you do a search here you will find the threads for this very subject. And by the way Bill has just put out a new cable that is better then the old. check it out you might like it
