Can any of you recommend some settings for a Peavey Envoy? Its the old one with the vertical strips of aluminium up the sides of the speaker cloth. I got it for playing quietly in the house but to my ear it sounds horrible, too much treble and the reverb just mushes notes up and goes clangy. It does sound good clean with my Strat. Anybody got any ideas for a good little PSG practice amp?

I am sure that on the question of what is recommended as a good practice amp there would be many suggestions. I have read where some use the small Peavey Bandit 65 for practice. I use a Peavey Bandit 112 and I think, at least for me, that it works fine. This particular amp would also be reasonably priced if you can find a good used one.
