im having a problem with my 1880. every time i record on channel 4, the fader for channel 1 controls what i recorded on 4. can anyone please help me i cant find anything in the manuels thanks in advance

It sounds like your channel/track routing has been changed. Each fader channel can be assigned to a different track or a combination of several. I am not at my machine at the moment but I believe if you press and hold the top-most button of the channel strip you can change the setting. If you have not checked out the site www.vsplanet.com do so, there is a lifetime supply of info on your machine and many experienced users.

That vsplanet is a great place to gain knowledge/troubleshoot. It does sound like a routing issue.
