I might need to do this, and was wondering if it would be suitable. It's supposed to be a bass speaker.

I would, maybe stuff a pillow in the back for a tighter sound, heaven knows the wattage is all there, I give up, what is TIAFR?

Thanks In Advance For Response?

Eric: crank the highs and turn down the lows, that way you are not as likely to damage the speaker. Put it in the PA.

K-140 is a bass speaker. I sure wouldn't get very loud with a 130.
On the other hand, I wouldn't be afraid to slap a bass speaker such as a 1502 BW(which is designed for low frequencys) in that amp and play it as bass for awhile, but still not really too loud. JMHO,Y

In 1996 our group did some of the Coors Light rodeos and I had (still have) an original wedge shaped Session 400 that I used for bass and got an absolutely awesome sound.....used a D I of course....but fooled some Peavey reps at the Salinas rodeo..they would come up, look at my guitar, look at the amp, shake their heads and walked away..three different guys all together. Not long after that, Peavey introduced the Session 400 Bass Wedge....not saying I influenced them but you draw your own conclusions. The amp was stock.... i.e., no speaker changes, no modifications of any kind....and it kicked some serious rear.

I'd guess that would very likely destroy the K-130 because of the speaker's power limits and the use of bass to do it.

Actually it's a K140, and has the large ribbed cone. SOrry, but I went to work before I could change it.

It works well for PSG, and though it's an 8 ohm, I don't hear much loss.

Thanks to all.

Eric, the K-140 is a bass speaker...you should be fine if you don't push it too hard...
