Loved it !
I played Fri night with my N400 but also draged my Bandit 65 along for experience..for the Tele..
There they were sittin' side by side..I didn't think of it on Friday but on Saturday I had a brain alert..TWO AMPS..right there...so I plugged the stereo out of the Profex into the little B65..set the bass up pretty much all the way, the mids way down, the HI's and Presence way down..and set moderate volume.
It's a good thing I didn't think of doing the 2 amp thing on the way home last night..
I may not do it often but it was really nice..

It sounds good, doesn't it, Tony? I love the stereo-effect monitoring, even if it does become mono any more than ten feet away...
I did that earlier this year with a 1000 and a 112.

I used to use my LTD 400 on one side of the stage, and my Nashville 400 on the other side. This was actually suggested by the other members of the band. WOW!!!

Hey Jon, I may do the split stage right/left thing on an upcoming gig. I thought about doing that a month or 2 back but was to lazy to bring a "3rd" amp.. If I bring a second amp it's usually dedicated to the Tele..
And I have been thinking about yet another amp..to go along with the N400, Bandit 65 + HR Deville.
Can we all say Classic 30 ?
3 amps on a gig....
now were gettin' somewhere !
3 amps..what a statement..

Thanks for the support guys! It can be a hassle sometimes, but two amps definitely sound better than one. |

I used to go the two amp route but then I set a rack system together. Now all I need is one rack unit and two speaker enclosures.

We run everything though our Mackie system. How would running two amps work in that scenario? Would you notice the difference? Do you have to run them through a pre-amp to do it? |

The first time I heard a steel played through two amps, I didn't care for the sound at all. But at Ronnie's steel show the 16th of this month there were several players that used two amps. they sounded great! especially Ronnie Neighbors, he played through two mesa boogies, and talkin about tone, I ain't never heard any better!

Tony:
I use two amps all the time. A Fender Blackface twin, and a Nashville 400. IMHO, I get the best of both worlds that way, and the tone is downright super. its alot of weight to carry coupled with my D-10, but I've always played thru two and probably will never again go back to just one amp. I place each one about three feet on each side of me. God Bless.
