Could someone tell me how to remove the grille panel on a Nashville 400 amp? Thanks! Vann

Vann, they are attached with Valcro and require a steady heavy pull forward to remove it. Do not try to jerk it loose.

Thanks Roy,
Do I need to try to get some type of "L" shaped object like a bent putty knife behind the grille? Vann

Big John to the rescue! If you l©©k in from the rear of the amp., you'll notice that the top of the grill can be seen above the top-edge of the baffle-board. If you direct a wooden ruler or dowel in from the back of the cabinet and gently push forward on the grill-frame at the top corner, it will pop lose from one/half of the Velcro. Then move to the opposite side and gently push forward at the other corner, it will also pop lose. Then go around to the front of the cabinet and hold the two lose top-corners and gently pull outward, both bottom-corners will pop lose and the grill will end up in your hands! It always worked for me and it will work for you too!

I discovered the method John mentions a while back myself.
That's the way to go!

BTW, it's not actually Velcro that attaches the grille. It is similar, but some kind of hard plastic material. When you place the ruler or screwdriver tip against the back of the grille frame, a sharp tap will pop the connection loose.

When you go to put the grille back on, it helps to lay the amp on its back so you can apply enough pressure to the spots where the "velcro" is to "snap" them back in. You'll hear it when it happens.

Thanks Guys,
I did what you all recommended and you were right. I needed to take the grille out to tighten up one of the aluminum strips at the top edge. Did that and put it back together with no problem. I know that the Fender Twin Reverb that I had back in 1975 came out that way , but I wanted to check about the Peavey; so that I would not mess up anything.
Thanks again! Vann
