I have a 1972 Silverfaced Fender Twin with two 12's that I had Ken Fox, Black Face for me and did a wonderful job I might add, and everytime I had to play a gig and move it , I dredded it because of the weight.
Well, I finally got smart, I think. I bought an empty Bassman top Cabinet and put the guts of the twin in that and left the speaker cabinet seperate. Now I have a two piece Twin and I can lift either piece with ease.
Just thought this might help some of you who love the twin sound , but hate the weight.
Hope this helps ya out a little.
Ya know, after writing this and trying to help you guys out, I might be hendering you instead. It's been so long ago when I did this that I can't remember if it was a Bassman cabinet or a Showman cabinet, but Bassman seems to stick in my mind for some reason. If there is anyone out there that knows for sure, please jump in and save me, sorry about that fellas.
