I have a stringmaster D-6 and cannot get the neck to work. I thought it was the switch, so I replaced it with a new tele switch. Both necks work in the center position, but only one will work in the side position. Here's what I know: all pots work, all pick-ups work, switch works, no cold solder joints, all grounds check, wiring is correct according to the schematic. I believe the PU's were worked on as they are dated 6-2-66 but the guitar is from the 50's. A black and white wire from each PU goes to the balance pot. I am at a loss here. Anybody have a clue as to what's wrong? It was like this when I got it recently. Thanks, Ron

I think I found the problem. The pot and neck wire were crossed. I will resolder and finish it tomorrow but I can't believe I missed it from the beginning. It's great to have the schematics online.
