| Terry, I've had 400s but the most incredible sound came from my 500 but it's too meaty to tote. I bought a new two piece Webb 614 with a JBL and it is even better and my wife doesn't get a hernia loading it. I can see why the Opry has these all over the stage for the steel players, thanks to Tommy. Nuff said. |

| Terry, sadly to say, I doubt the local music store has a Webb since they are purchased through the Webb company direct. Mr Webb is very ill at the moment but I'm sure his people can handle your order. These are not cheap amps but quality hand built precision amps that have proved themselves since the 70s and they have the best tone options at the flip of a switch. |

Thanks Gary, after seeing the used Webb 614 on buy and sell, for $900, I doubt I'll be gettin a webb. to rich for my blood. 
I'll probly go with a peavey, or fender.
I know our local store carries both of those. |

TERRY, I've used a LTD 400 for years, then used a Nashville 1000, but now the Nashville 112 is my chose. It's affordable and easy on the back. I use 2 of them with an alesis midiverb for a great sound. LA

Thanks larry. the nashville 112 is definately more within my price range.
does it have just one 12" speaker?
if so, how does that 12" compare to the 15" black widow in my session 400'rd?
I need another amp, that I can leave at my church, so I won't have to haul this session 400 back and forth ever week. it's killin my back. |

My 112 will play as loud as I can stand to hear it in my house. It doesn't have the same low end as the bigger 200 watt amps, but for an 80 watt amp and a 12" inch speaker, it's very good. Peavey did a good job on the amp and it's what I use for my home recording. The preamp in it is wonderful.
As for my favorite amp, my (pre-1980) Webb 6-14E is my favorite, followed by my Nashville 112. |

Terry, the 112 has a 12 inch spkr and I prefer the sound of it over my 1000. Get the technical poop from Mike Brown. LA

| I USE MOS-VALVE AMP, TUBE FEX,15" BLACK WIDOW,OR 2-12" ALTEC'S. I GET A GOOD CLEAN SOUND. I USE THE JEFF#2 SETTING ON THE TUBE FEX MOSTLY. WORKS GREAT FOR ME. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY A WEBB,IF I GET THE CHANCE. THANKS BOB |

Terry, for what is worth, I am the one who sold the Webb 614-E on here recently. If you are wandering what I am now playing, it is the Nashville 400 with the module kit already built in from Peavey. We all have our personal tastes when it come to sound. However, I feel more at home with my Nashville than the Webb. Although Webb is a wonderful sounding amp! I was also playing thru an Evans FET 500 prior to the Webb, also a fine amp! But, with the amount of customer service from Mike Brown and Peavey as well as the fact that Peavey is very well constructed, I again am at home with Peavey. I played thru a Nashville for a number of years without the mod installed and tried the Evans and the Webb. As I already stated, I am back home with the Nashville! The mod does make a difference.
Just my opinion.
