I just finished installing a 12str True Tone
on my Zum. All I can say is Jumpin Jehosaphat

I also just installed a Truetone. I like it because it give me a little more growl than the Lawrence LXR-16 that it replaced. Now I'm finding my BJS bar a little too silky sounding, so I began using a Proz-o-phonic lap steel bar, and the combination of the two is pretty sweet. I'm trying to get my steel to have the balls of my lap steel. Getting closer...

| I have to agree that the TT pickup is the cleanest and best balanced single coil that I have used. There are a couple of others that come close, but when you A-B them, the TT comes out on top for clarity, balance, tone and noise reduction. Jerry is a very honest man and is great to do business with. I have paid more for less. If you need a single coil, don't even consider anything but a TT if you want your steel to sound the best it can. |

| Chuck, I would also like to know what the ohms are. I will probably be trying one on my 12 string Emmons PP and Jerry suggested that 19.5k would be his choice for a 12 string. Is that what you have? |

Well, I just put TT's on my Emmons. I had been fighting it for a long time looking for the tone I wanted. It took about ten minutes of amp tweaking to dial in what I had been looking for all along. That didn't surprise me though. I have TT's on both of my Zum's, and knew what to expect. It's not often that you find a product and service you are so happy with that you recommend it whole heartedly, but I have in Jerry and TT's. Thanks Jerry.

At Bruce and Jerry's advise it's 18.5K. All
I know is it is very smooth but doesn't lack
highs. Like everyone says it has great string definition. Jerry must have some of the metal from an alien space ship he found down there. |

| Thanks Chuck, I had a 20,500K on my U12 Zum, & found it a bit thick & bassy, I sent it in to Jerry & he rewound it to 18,500K, & am very pleased with the sound... nice highs, good string separation.. |
