adding to lap steel sound

When I played a single 6 then a double neck 8 string national about 40 yrs. back I only used a volume pedal and not continuely . Today with my pedal steel I use a Hilton sustain box and would have bought his combination unit but I had already just bought a volume and couldn't afford $300 + for the Kilton comb. unit. I would recommend this sustain unit, it will last a long time. Have fun what ever you do.
