Several years ago I purchased a couple of 4050s made by Audio Technica. Besides being great recording mikes, I wanted to compliment them on the Customer Service part of thier business which most companies ignore. These are condenser mikes suspended in what are usually known as 'spider mounts' suspended with black cables. One of the mounts looked like it was about to pop so I contacted them via the WWW wanting to know how to purchase a replacement kit. Heck.. they sent me a kit out N/C. When I'm in the market for another mike, those folks will be at the top of my list.

I bought a pair of 4050s almost 10 years ago and for what I do, they are nearly ideal. I also have a pair of the Earthworks to compliment them.
