I know that Peavey used 15" JBL's in their early Sesion 400 amps. Did Peavey ever use Heppner speakers in the early days?
My old Session 400 has a 15" Heppner and it sounds great.
I am interested in any information on Heppner speakers.
Thanks and keep on pikin
Alvin

I can't say about Peavey using Heppner speakers, Mike would have to give you that info, but all of the Heppner speakers I've seen are old (and cheap) stamped-steel jobs with "alnico" plug magnets. Leslie used them in their tone cabinets for awhile, and several console-stereo manufacturers (Packard Bell and Magnavox) used them too. They're not much by today's standards. Peavey would have demanded a hevy-duty speaker for such an application, so maybe they did make a good one that I haven't seen. I'd be surprised, though!

Gosh, it's been a long time since I've heard of Heppner speakers! Our steel amps have always had either an early JBL or a Black Widow.
