Would Peavey Scorpions be a good choice for repacement of the original speakers in a 70s Twin??? OR what else. I happen to have the Scorpions here at home.

The Scorpions are really great sounding speakers. I never knew that until I bought a '68 Fender Deluxe Reverb with one in it. Sounds like a warm JBL, loud, efficient, musical. I bet a pair of them in a Twin would be great. If you're interested, I've got an original pair of '69 Fender speakers from my old Twin in real nice shape. They're still on the baffle. If you're interested in them give me an email, but really you should try the Scorp's first.

I replaced one of the D-120's in my '69 SFTR with a new 12" Scorpion and it sounds great to me! It's not as heavy either Winking. I put the D-120 in my Peavey Bandit 65.
