Does anyone know what's + and - on a Jensen Special Design C12Q. It's not marked and I'm ready to solder away. HELP!!! I'm sinking....

Matt, use a 9 volt battery (or a 1.5 volt C or D cell). You can find the speaker polarity by quickly apply DC to the coil. When it is causes the speaker to move outward, you have found the correct polarity. When the + terminal of the battery is connected to the + terminal of the speaker it moves outward. JBL is an exception to the rule, a positive pressue on the positive terminal causes a rear going movement.

Matt,

If you only have one speaker it doesn't really matter. If you have more than one, it only matters that they are consistent.

Thanks guys, I got it figured out and it sounds great. I wired 2 speakers in parallel
and thru a Bandmaster Reverb head, it cranks like no tommorow. Yeehaa..........
