Bill, Profex II version 1.4 version cured fixed a glitch in the programming when using a continuous controller. So, if
Version 1.3 also fixed a programming glitch when sending controller #91 through a midi chain. The unit would go into bypass mode.
Version 1.2 added three new(at that time)pedal steel presets.
Jimmy, what the Burr Brown OPA2604 chips do that we offer in our Profex II mod kit, is bring the noise spec/levels up to today's standards. At the time that the Profex II was designed, 5332's and 4558's were pretty much industry standard chips. However, the highly respected 2604 is among the best for reducing the noise level and increasing speed.
If you wish to order these chips, call our U.S. toll free number at 1-877-732-8391. The Profex II mod kit can also be purchased at this number. Our engineering group designed the Profex series and our manufacturing facilities built it. Third party companies cannot reprogram the software of the Profex II.
