A buddy of mine is cleaning house and is selling his early '90s Peavey Session 400 Limited for $250. It's got the original Black Widow and is cosmetically very clean. He's used it for guitar and swears he's never played it above 2 or 3. I understand that a couple of the pots have been replaced, too, but everything works well. I'm going to try it out after work today.
Is this a good amp and a good deal for steel? I use tube amps, but am always on the lookout for a backup amp - and I have storage space...
Opinions, please!
Thanks! |

Larry, I think that that is a very fair price for an amp of that caliber. Many players rely on that model as their main amp. For your information, the original MSRP was $649.99 during the early '90's.
If you have further questions concerning the Session 400 Limited or any other Peavey product, please don't hesitate to contact me here at Peavey. I can be reached toll free in the U.S. at 1-877-732-8391.

That's a real good price, for a real good amp! I bought one used, traded it to Bro. Frank Estes, and I think it's his main amp now. There are any number of Forumites who'd GLADLY jump on this for 250 bucks! |

Stephen; You are absolutely correct. I worked the first set of the NTSGA Super Jam XIII on 04/01 with Frank Estes, and he sure was using a Nashville 400 Limited, and it sounded good to me! I used to use (2) of them, each with the LeMay Mod! Fine amps! "Big John" http://community.webtv.net/KeoniNui/BigJohnBechtels |

Larry, I have one of those in my Peavey collection, and if I were you to be able to get that amp for that price in great condition, I'd go for it. Nice sounding amp. |

Larry, you won't like it by the way, where did you say the amp was again?? Just kidding man, $250 is a heckuva deal for that amp. I've had 2 late 80's models and still have one of them and it sounds great! |
