Can you load the pre-sets from a Pro-fex ll cache card to the tube-fex ?
I tried it today on a friend'S T/F and it isn't working like it should.
Does anyone know of anything special you must do?
The programs went into the T/F ok, but has hardly any volume and the tube function doesn't work.
Thanks,
Kenny

Sorry about the error in the heading, it's a TUBEFEX

Yes, you can load ProFex II settings to the T/F or TTF, as you've already done. Since the ProFex II doesn't have a tube preamp, there are no settings for it on its card. There are modified settings out there that do have the preamp added, but you'll have to find one of those cards, or just load it from another T/F that does have the preamp settings loaded.

Thanks Jim,
when I saw the Tube function wasn't working,
I added the tube to a patch, but it didn't sound good at all,
and when you went to another patch and came Back,, the pre-amp settings were all back to zero

He has a Rowland card he purchase from Peavey, but it has no useable ,recognizable patches on it.
I think he's calling Peavey tomorrow,
I'm sure they will help him.

The Roland card should work fine, once it is initialized and loaded with Newman effects from a Profex 2. I use the Newman settings in my Transtubefex, no problem. I use the card for the Peterson settings (using the card as a third bank of effects).

Ken ,I think the Rowland card will be okay when he get's the patches in it,
there's nothing there that anyone could ever use with a steel guitar.
it's like the "B" bank of the PFll .
Thanks ,
Kenny

Presets that are programmed using the Profex II can be loaded into the Tubefex, Transtube Fex, the Transfex Pro, Transfex Pro 212 and the Session 2000. But, this process is not "retro", meaning that you cannot load presets that were created on a Tubefex, etc., and load them into Profex II, and except to be able to add the "tube(TB)" parameter.

There have been no problems with volume by using the Newman steel guitar presets in a Tubefex, Transtube Fex, or otherwise. I suggest that you reinitialize your Profex II to check for proper levels.

Mike ,
I think there is a mis-understanding here.
I'm not the best at explanations, sorry.

There is No Pro-Fex ll in the picture here.

I was trying to get a Tube-Fex loaded ,useing a Pro-Fex ll card.

The Tube-Fex accepted the patches from the card, however (as I knew) the TB would not be there.
I programed a TB in some patches, but it had very little power and would not stay in the patch.

When it was changed from one patch to another, then back to the original,,the TB was gone,(like it wasn't stored) and the Tube mode on the front panel was not lit,and all the indicators were at zero.

However, today I had another Tube-Fex in the shop with simular problems.
I added TB to some of the programs with no problems.

I assume there is a problem with the first Tube-Fex, and not the card or the programming I did, any suggestions ?

I have advised the customer to contact Peavey for advice ,because his Rowland card only has a few (about3) patches that are labeled (Steel #1), 2, 3 ,,ect.
the rest are like the B bank of the pro-fexll.

Thanks for your help,
Kenny
