I have been looking for a small tube amp for a while and came across the Vintone line of handmade boutique amps. Their Crystal line http://www.vintone.com/crystal.html may be close to the holy grail of steel guitar amps (small).

They look like more expensive and less versatile versions of the THD BiValve to me.

Bob's right, this looks like a less versatile version of the THD Bivalve (right up the street from you in Ballard). If you put at7s or au7s in the preamp section and use KT88s in the power section of the BiValve, you will have a very clean (and loud) tube amp.

That amp would last about a month in the clubs. Looks strictly for bedroom players. Nice piece of furniture though. |

I tend to agree with you on this particular amp.
THe THD stuff is totally road worthy (and club worthy). I should know (I am death on amplifiers, that's why I am so highly prized as a beta tester).

Sorry...not for me. Not enough tone controls, and no effects either?!
Equipment don't impress me, but good pickin' do! |
