Topic: Session 500 with no ground plug |

| I recently bought a Session 500 from a fellow forum member, and it has a 2-prong plug. It looks like the ground plug was yanked out. My stupid question is, is this dangerous? I don't know much about electronics, but all the other amps I've owned all had 3-prong plugs. If I plug it into a grounded power strip, will this keep me safe? I have a couple of out-of-town gigs this weekend and I'd like to use the Session, but I really don't want to die in Cleveland. Maybe I should just use my Vegas 400. I don't know, any thoughts? |

Yes it can be dangerous, and plugging into a grounded power strip won't help!  For a quick fix go to your local hardware store and get a replacement three prong plug. Cut the existing plug off and install the replacement.  |

On the new plug the wiring will go:
green screw/terminal----green wire (ground)
silver screw/terminal---white wire(neutral)
brass screw/terminal----black wire (AC hot)
