for some reason, I'm reminded of "Mr. 'Crabs", SpongeBob Squarepants' mercenary employer. If he could charge 39.95 for a "crabby patty", he would.

There was some discussion about this item a while back. Click here to check it out. I guess Gruhn figures that maybe someone with more money than brains will come along someday and go for it.

There was a discussion about Mr Gruhn last year.
I am not going to put the link up, but the bottom line is that Mr Gruhn and his staff admitted that they know nothing about pedal steel guitar.
Please! Be careful who you buy your stuff from!

I was surprized to see the 1940 D-45 there for $100K, then REALLY SURPRIZED when I read it was refinished in 1989.

It's common knowledge that refinishing reduces vintage value. I wonder what it would be selling for with the original finish.

I suppose it's normal for a good guitar to be worth 10 volume pedals.
