Anybody use one of these for practise? Great sound with headphones. For a change,I tried a set of powered computer speakers instead of phones. It was o.k.,but I was wondering if there might be a really good speaker set that would sound really good in a small room.Anybody have any ideas? Perhaps Bose or something like that.I don't know.Electronics is not a stong point with me.Would appreciate some feed back.Rusty

Rusty, You may want to look at some near field monitors. They are used in studio control rooms to get an accurate sound. Some are powered which sounds like what you need. They're not inexpensive but the quality is there.

Rusty: I've used one for years. It make a great practice amp. I use it everyday. It can also be use as a pre amp. I use Wal-Mart headphones and they do fine. It sounds good enough to practice a steel on but some electric 6 stings sound as well as most amps through it. I could'nt do without mine. It's really nice when you can't sleep at night and everyone is asleep. Just slip on the headphones and play your heart out. It's great for learning new material when you don't want other people hearing your mistakes. Have fun, EDDIE MALRAY

Hey Rusty, Just my opinion but I wouldn't spend a dime on Bose speakers!!! Over priced hunks of junk. They finally got their name out there and their quality went downhill.

My point is that with headphones the sound is great. But occasionally I would like to use a pair of speakers.Using a good pair of comp.speakers, which plug right in place of headphones, the sound ain't bad. What I'd like to know if there is a Super pair of computer size that would give an even better sound. For instance if your buddy came over with his flat-top to have a tune, hauling out the 250/w15" is a bit of an overkill.Having a set on the shelf would be just about right.I use the Rockman all the time to practice with.It keeps my marriage intact and my 15 yr. old son thinks I'm cool 'cause he can't hear that "stoopid music".
