Mike, Was Playing at a Jamboree last night, started smelling smoke simular to burning transfomer. Then my amp went dead. Light would come on but no sound at all. Do you have any idea what has happened? If not could you recommend a good service company in the Ft. Worth / Dallas / Wichita Falls area that might check it out for me.

Could it be the speaker maybe? Just a thought. They smell that way when they really go.

Back when I lived up that way....They fixed a Nashville 400 I had....and fixed a hum problem in another amp I had....and fixed several speakers/recone...and whatnot....and a Dang good job everytime...and dang good price.

Thanks Ricky and all for the assistance. Freeman Tuell is one of our authorized service centers in the area. You may locate others from our authorized Peavey Dealer/Service Center locator. Here is a link;

I suggest that you check the speaker also, and if that isn't the problem, you can contact me toll free at 1-877-732-8391 and we can try a couple of patching procedures over the phone.

Thanks,
Mike Brown

Thanks Mike for the correction on the name.... I knew "Tool" didn't look right and has been 7 years since I've been there.....so yeah "Tuell"..that's it; and I didn't know they were authorized Peavey...that explains why their so dang good.
Mike your a great resource and soooooo helpful to all....thanks.

I didn't even realize that I corrected anything. No offense intended at all and thanks for your testimony of their services.
